The main area of work of the Centre for Learning Resources (CLR) is education. One of the major reasons for the high rate of dropouts and of functional illiteracy in India is the poor quality of education. The main objective of the CLR is to introduce educational innovation change at the basic classroom level and thereby, improve the quality of education in urban and rural schools and non-formal programmes. The CLR acts as a support organisations to voluntary agencies working at the grassroots level, and to government and private schools. It works with teachers and other realated personnel concerned with socially and economically disadvantaged children at the pre-primary and elementary stages of education, including non formal education.The CLR invites individuals and agencies in supprting it’s activities to build up its corpus fund, provide core funding, funding of specific projects, donate educational materials and equipment.
